Awareness of nurses on distance education in Nepal
Mandira Shahi
Abstract
Distance education technology is one of the most effective modes of imparting education and training for those who cannot afford formal education. This descriptive cross-sectional study of 94 Bachelor of Nursing students in three Kathmandu valley institutes assessed awareness of distance education technology as an alternative approach for continuous advanced nursing education in Nepal — 81% had heard of it, but none had attended an academic course through it.
